Enter Yuuki Juudai, the hero boy of Yuugiou GX. Positive, upbeat, and endlessly cheerful, Juudai is just a bundle of sunshine. He's loud, energetic, and fun to be around, and will make everyone his friend -- whether they like it or not (case in point: Manjoume).
Despite his openness, we definitely don't know much about his background -- his family, home life, and childhood are all relatively obscure at this point. It is assumed he had a happy childhood, as the two flashbacks into his past would suggest, but no one knows for sure -- except, of course, Juudai himself. But he enjoys his current life and does not take for granted anything he gets -- he appreciates his lodgings in Osiris Red, despite them being the lowest quality that Duel Academy has to offer.
Though Juudai is friendly and open to pretty much everyone, he also maintains a great rivalry with a few people; those being the duelists he looks up to and/or simply enjoys dueling for their strength. Misawa, Ryou, and Manjoume are a few of his self-proclaimed rivals, just to name a few. Especially with Misawa and Manjoume: with Misawa, they compete in most every aspect, including sports and dueling, but remain friends overall. However, with Manjoume, the relationship is a little more rocky, mostly on Manjoume's end. Manjoume views Juudai as another obstacle to be cleared and has a tendency to take his burning desire to defeat him a little too far, while Juudai views Manjoume as a friend and a great rival.
Juudai has a strong sense of justice, just like the Elemental Heroes he so admires, and will help out anyone who needs the help -- even if it's a potential enemy. He does what he can to aid his friends in their own battles, and will accept any duel without hesitation. Losing usually doesn't get him down, but when it's a high-stakes duel and he loses, he'll lose everything. His personality will fade and he'll get very depressed until he finds the strength to pick himself back up and start where he left off.
Overall, Juudai has changed the lives of many of his closer friends for the better -- he's helped Asuka find her missing brother, he's shown Manjoume what dueling is truly about, he's given Shou someone to look up to, and he's entirely changed the way the school looks at Osiris Reds, among other things. He's saved the school on more than one occasion and in more than one way. He's even changed the way the once closed-minded Chronos thinks, and that's an accomplishment. It's almost as though he's starting a new movement in the school, and from the moment he arrived he took the school by storm, immediately ascending to the top of his grade.
In the beginning of the second season, Juudai changed his deck type after a crushing defeat at the hands of Edo Phoenix. After wandering around the island, depressed and alone, and after considering leaving the Academy, he somehow found his way into Neo Space, where the Neo Spacian Aqua Dolphin shed light on what was happening around him and that he and the other Neo Spacians needed his help. He defeated one of their enemies in a duel, the Alien of Light, and received many new E-Hero Neos cards to use along with his original E-Heroes.
Currently Juudai is fighting to free his friends from Saiou's grasp, as well as to change the fate of the world from being destroyed by the satellite given to Saiou by Prince Orgene. It's been made known that he and Edo Phoenix are the only ones who have the power to alter destiny, and they've been each been given a key to the satellite, named SORA, by Saiou's good personality in hopes of stalling the end of the world long enough to stop it. CAN THEY DO IT?! (Gee, I wonder.)
